Solvd is an online marketplace that connects skilled workers (called "Pros" or "Workers") with people who need work done (called "Customers"). Solvd is run by Solvd Technologies Ltd, a Nigerian company. Solvd does not directly employ any workers — we are a platform that helps customers and workers find each other and work together safely.

• You must be at least 18 years old
• You must live in Nigeria or be working in Nigeria
• You must have a working phone number or email address
• Workers must have a valid Nigerian National Identity Number (NIN)
• You must not have been banned from Solvd before

You are responsible for keeping your account password safe. Do not share your account with anyone else. If you think someone else has access to your account, contact us immediately at security@usesolvd.com. You must give us true and correct information when you sign up. If we discover you gave false information, we may close your account.

• You must verify your NIN before you can receive paid jobs on Solvd
• Only offer services you are genuinely qualified and able to perform safely
• Be honest about your experience, prices, and availability
• Complete jobs that you agree to do
• Treat all customers with respect and professionalism
• Do not ask customers to pay you outside of Solvd to avoid platform fees

• Pay through Solvd — do not bypass the platform to pay workers directly
• Treat workers with respect and fairness
• Leave only honest reviews based on your real experience
• Do not post fake or misleading job requests

Solvd holds your payment securely until the job is confirmed complete. This is called escrow. Once you confirm the job is done to your satisfaction, the money is transferred to the worker within 24 hours. Solvd charges a small service fee for each completed job. This fee is shown clearly before you confirm any payment. Workers keep the majority of what they earn.

If there is a problem with a job, contact Solvd support within 48 hours of the job being marked complete. Our team will investigate and work to resolve it fairly for both sides. In appropriate cases, we may issue a partial or full refund. Our decision on disputes is final.

• Fraud, scams, or any dishonest behaviour
• Harassment, threats, or abuse toward any user
• Sharing other users' private contact information
• Creating fake reviews, fake accounts, or fake job posts
• Using Solvd for any illegal purpose or activity
• Attempting to damage, hack, or disrupt our systems

If you break these rules, we may warn you, temporarily suspend your account, or permanently ban you from Solvd. In serious cases involving illegal activity, we may report you to Nigerian law enforcement authorities.

• Account info: Your name, phone number, email address, and profile photo
• Identity info (Workers only): Your National Identity Number (NIN) for government verification
• Location: Your general area so we can show you workers or jobs nearby
• Job history: Jobs you have posted, completed, or reviewed
• Messages: Conversations between you and other users on Solvd
• Photos & videos: Work portfolio images and videos uploaded by workers
• Payment info: We do not store your card details — payments go through secure third-party processors (e.g. Paystack)
• Device info: What device you are using, so we can make Solvd work properly for you

• To create and manage your Solvd account
• To connect customers with the right workers nearby
• To verify worker identities through Nigeria's NIMC NIN database
• To process payments securely through our payment partners
• To send you SMS and in-app notifications about jobs, messages, and account activity
• To improve our platform, fix bugs, and develop new features
• To detect and prevent fraud, fake accounts, and abuse

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever. We do not share your phone number or home address with other users until you choose to share it yourself.

• We share your NIN only with Nigeria's NIMC database for verification — nothing else
• We share payment data with our payment processing partners (e.g. Paystack, Flutterwave) only to complete transactions
• We may share information with Nigerian law enforcement authorities if required by Nigerian law

Your phone number is private on Solvd. Customers cannot see a worker's number, and workers cannot see a customer's number, until each person chooses to share it. All first contact happens safely inside Solvd's built-in messaging system.

When you sign up, we may send you SMS messages for: account verification codes (OTP), job confirmations, payment receipts, and security alerts. You can turn off marketing SMS messages at any time in your account settings. Important account and security messages cannot be turned off as they are needed to keep your account safe.

• All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
• Our servers are hosted securely within compliant data centres
• Staff access to user data is strictly limited and logged
• We conduct regular security audits of our systems

• You can ask us what information we hold about you
• You can ask us to correct any wrong information
• You can request deletion of your account and personal data
• You can ask us to stop sending you marketing messages

Our website uses small files called "cookies" to remember you when you return and to make the site work better. You can turn off cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of Solvd may not work properly without them.

Solvd is only for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using Solvd, please contact us immediately at safety@usesolvd.com.
