Solvd is an online marketplace that connects skilled professionals (called "Professionals" or "Pros") with people who need work done (called "Clients" or "Customers"). Solvd is operated by Solvd Technologies Ltd, a Nigerian company. Solvd is a marketplace platform — we do not directly employ professionals. We provide the infrastructure that enables safe, verified transactions between clients and professionals.

• You must be at least 18 years old
• You must be based in or working in Nigeria
• You must have a working phone number or email address
• Professionals must hold a valid Nigerian National Identity Number (NIN)
• You must not have been previously banned from Solvd

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your password private. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at security@usesolvd.com. You must provide accurate and truthful information when signing up. False information may result in account suspension.

• You must complete NIN verification before accepting paid jobs
• Only offer services you are genuinely qualified and capable of performing safely
• Be honest about your pricing, experience, and availability
• Complete jobs you agree to take
• Treat all clients with professionalism and respect
• Never ask clients to pay outside of Solvd to bypass platform fees

• Be honest about the work you need done
• Pay through Solvd — bypassing the platform payment system is prohibited
• Treat professionals with fairness and respect
• Only leave reviews based on genuine first-hand experience
• Do not post fraudulent or misleading job requests

Client payments are held securely by Solvd and released to the professional only after the client confirms job completion. This is called payment protection. Solvd charges a platform service fee on each completed transaction. This fee is displayed clearly before payment confirmation. Professionals retain the majority of their earnings.

If there is a problem with a completed job, contact our support team within 48 hours of job completion. We will investigate and mediate fairly. Depending on the circumstances, we may issue a partial or full refund. Solvd's decision in disputes is final.

• Fraud, deception, or any form of dishonest behaviour
• Harassment, threats, or abusive conduct toward any user
• Sharing another user's private contact information without consent
• Creating fake reviews, accounts, or job posts
• Using Solvd for any illegal purpose
• Attempting to compromise, hack, or disrupt our systems

Violations of these Terms may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent ban from Solvd. In cases involving illegal activity, we may report to Nigerian law enforcement authorities.

• Account information: Name, phone number, email address, profile photo
• Identity data (Professionals only): National Identity Number (NIN) for government verification
• Location: General area to match you with nearby professionals or clients
• Job history: Jobs posted, completed, reviewed

• Portfolio media: Photos and videos uploaded by professionals
• Device data: Device type, browser, and session data for platform functionality

• To verify professional identities via Nigeria's NIMC NIN system

• To send account alerts, job notifications, and SMS verifications
• To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
• To improve platform features and performance

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, under any circumstances. Your phone number and home address are never visible to other users until you personally choose to share them.

• NIN data is shared only with Nigeria's NIMC database for verification purposes
• Payment data is processed by Paystack or Flutterwave — we do not store card details
• Information may be shared with Nigerian law enforcement when required by law

All first contact between clients and professionals occurs inside Solvd's secure messaging system. No contact details are exchanged automatically. You control when, if, and with whom you share your personal contact information.

We send SMS messages for account verification (OTP), job confirmations, payment receipts, and security alerts. Marketing messages can be disabled in settings. Security and transactional messages cannot be disabled as they protect your account.
